IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE ST. REGIS COCKTAIL HISTORY
The Bloody Mary is the cocktail most tied to the history and tradition of The St.
Regis. This famous cocktail was invented in 1934 at The St. Regis New York’s King Cole
Bar by French bartender Fernand Petiot. Petiot was presented a mixture of vodka and
tomato juice, but declared it too bland and began adding a variety of spices he deemed
fit. His end result created the Bloody Mary we know and love today.
Each St. Regis resort around the world has their own take on the original recipe,
utilizing local ingredients reflecting the culture of their resort. The Aloha Mary is The
St. Regis Princeville Resort’s version featuring Ocean Organic Vodka blended with
Clamato Juice and seasoned with Wasabi, Sriracha sauce and various other spices. This
flavorful drink is garnished with Kauaÿi guava wood smoked sea salt on the rim and sea
asparagus to deliver a refreshing crispness.
The Bloody Mary Book highlighting Bloody Mary recipes from St. Regis resorts around
the world as well as the original recipe created by Petiot is available for purchase.
